This is potentially a good program but needs to handle the formats and particularly mixed image and text formats better. I want a clipboard manager/extender that save all the clipboard information in a way that allows it to be pasted back into any program in the same way as it would have been when originally copied to the clipboard. I would also like the ability to view the information on the program in the way it will appear in the receiving program. It also needs to save clip and option information in the base directory to make it properly portable
Currently ClipGuru does not reach the level required to replace my two current favorites:
- Arsclip
- ClipDiary (limited clipper but effective and easy to use)
Personally I rate this as:
Quite Useful – Good Tips – Needs to handle mixed formats – Needs to be properly portable
What Could Make it be Better?
- Mixed format saving
- Full format pasting
- Full portability

Clipboard texts are nice, but I only need them for Outlook, which is why I discovered a great shareware program with the strange name “ReplyButler” for me. It’s basically boilerplate textmodules on steroids. Multilingual, icons, auto-search, treeview and other stuff. However, it’s not freeware like ClipGuru. :’(

Thanks for the nice review! While blogging I make a large (really large!) use of the clipboard and sometimes when I mess things up I always use it to see what picture i used last. Having something more professional like ClipGuru can be really something useful! Thanks again!

Clippy is an extremely handy tool to convert text from the clipboard, based on user defined criteria. Common uses include cleaning up email forwards by getting rid of the > symbols. However, there are many other options and uses that allow you to trim white space, remove duplicate lines, strip HTML and much more from your clipboard text input.

I’m somewhat tempted to download this, however, I think my regular clipboard will suffice for the moment.

“ClipGuru is a semi Portable Application which monitors the clipboard and stores the information it finds there as text or images.”
I think this is a useful tool that’ll make things easier, especially if you have to deal with lots of images when doing your documents and stuff.
“ClipGuru is a small, portable and light on resources. It allows you to store text clips or images (copied on there own without any text). So if you need to store text on it’s own, or images on their own, with the option to save different sets and paste multiple selections this could be very useful.”
I think I’m gonna try this product out. Hope it really helps me with my documents since I deal with plenty of images and texts when preparing my office files.
