The more programs you run at the same time (and also the more page tabs you have open in Firefox) the more memory you will use. It’s a question of how much memory you have installed and how far you are prepared for things to slow down on your PC. Experience and using available tools to see how resources are being used (Anvir Free is very good as are both the Windows Task Manager and Resource Monitor) .

BTW the Windows Resource Monitor can be started from the button on the bottom of the Task Manager Performance Tab screen – page faults are a very good guide to available memory running short
