The ProReviewer site was hacked in the last couple of days. As I am out of the UK until the weekend (Saturday 26th Sept. 2009) I cannot do a full repair or reinstall any backups. Plus I need to increase the security of the site.In the meantime the site could be hacked again 
So, please be aware that any comments left since the beginning of September and any further comments left until I sought things out may be lost.
Apologies to any one who has been inconvenienced.
The good news is that there will soon be some new posts mostly based on running Freeware (portable and otherwise) under the Windows 7 operating system which I have been experiementing with over the last couple of months

I upgraded to the latest version of WP about 3 weeks ago. Searching on google shows that it is probable sites were hacked to provided access a while back (before the upgrade). Means will have to check any backups I use for repair.

This is really bad for every webmaster. But what can you do to prevent something like this in the future? I think this would even happen, if you´re not leaving the UK.

I think someone has hacked my email and is sending messages using my account. But I think it is being sent to only one address. I have an antivirus etc that I run at least twice a week. Is it possible to find out?

I am just wondering if there is some pattern here. First individual blogs and sites like this were hacked, then there was an attempt to hack gmail account details and recently tachcrunch has been hacked.
It will be nice if you can publish your findings on this blog
