What Does It Do - The Essentials?

TeraCopy is a freeware file copying and moving utility form Code Sector that integrates with Windows Explorer. Not only does it give you more control over copying and moving files but also provides some additional functions as well as significantly higher file transfer rates. (It also has features to integrate it with Total Commander and Directory Opus but these have not been tested as both these utilities are not Freeware). TeraCopy is Freeware for Home Users, there is also a paid version, TeraCopy Pro which has not been tested.

N.B The version tested is 2.0 beta 2, the final version may behave differently and address some of the issues raised in the review.
TeraCopy has had beta versions since Sept 2007 (1.25) and Nov 2007 (2.0).
TeraCopy 1.2 (not beta) was released 22 June 2007.
N.B. This is a review of a beta stage version and therefore some comments and conclusions may not apply to the final release version.
Summary:
- Copy and Move files selected in Windows Explorer
- File transfer rates are significantly faster than Windows Explorer
- Transfers between folders, drives and over a LAN
- Integrates into Windows Shell
- Runs at Startup

What Does it Do - The Essentials?

FlashFolder is a small utility that enhances the common Open/Save File dialog boxes used by windows programs. It sits on top of the dialog box (docks) as shown above (the red border has been added to illustrate). FlashFolder provides several additional functions in the form of a toolbar to help you use and navigate when opening and saving files. I personally think this is a great little program.
Summary:
- Go To Last Folder
- Favorite Folders/Bookmarks
- Last Used Folders
- Resizes Dialog Box
- Positions Dialog Box at Screen Centre (Optional)
- View “All Files” in a folder
- Provides a file/folder path address bar
- Integrates with Total Commander directory menu

What Does it Do - The Essentials?

MoveOut is a small Windows utility that will automatically move files from one directory to another and is authored by the developer “Skrommel” in a series of small utilities under the banner of “1 Hour Software”. It is a small freeware utility available from the DonationCoder website of which I am a great fan. For more details on how and why these utilities are written and who writes them see the post on DonationCoder Utilities.

Summary:
- Moves Files from one folder to another
- Files can be specified using rules and filters with wildcards
- Can be set to run automatically at Startup
- Can be started or stopped from the system tray Icon
